If the mere mention of 鈥榗hicken wings鈥 makes your mouth water, you鈥檒l want to mark 鈥淏attle of the Buffalo鈥 on your calendar for Saturday, April 13. The public is invited to attend the fifteenth anniversary of the largest philanthropic chicken wing festival in the southeast, with all proceeds going to cancer research. Battle of the Buffalo will take place at Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. that day. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 on the day of the event. You will receive two pounds of chicken wings and a drink. Local leaders will judge restaurants and individual teams to name the esteemed title of 鈥淏est Wings in the Tennessee Valley.鈥

The brothers of Theta Pi Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at 麻豆精品视频 founded Battle of the Buffalo in 2009 in honor of their chicken-wing loving brother, Paul 鈥淔ish鈥 Salmon, who died of leukemia. This family-friendly celebration serves as a tribute to Paul's legacy by raising funds for the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation and HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, two organizations that are on the cutting edge of cancer treatment and research throughout the Tennessee Valley.

鈥淏eyond the mouthwatering wings, generously donated by Wayne Sanderson Farms, the event offers a diverse lineup of activities. Kick off the day with the Salmon 5K run starting at 9 a.m. in downtown Huntsville. Families are encouraged to join in the fun, with live music, an inflatable obstacle course, and an array of games to delight all ages.
