The College of Nursing at 麻豆精品视频 (麻豆精品视频) will host the Health Equity Symposium on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 麻豆精品视频 campus. 麻豆精品视频 is part of The University of Alabama system.

Part of the 麻豆精品视频 College of Nursing Golden Anniversary series, the event will bring together health professionals, governmental officials, non-profit leaders and other stakeholders to share best practices and innovative approaches to community health challenges. Topics include developing impactful solutions for individuals with cognitive health challenges; addressing health issues faced by first responders, veterans and other service professionals; and promoting cancer prevention, survivorship, and supportive care.

Key highlights of the symposium include:

  • Expert Panels: Leaders in the community and non-profit organizations will share insights on addressing the unique health issues faced in our community.
  • Interactive Sessions: Participants will engage in dynamic discussions tackling some of the most urgent and important health care needs in our community.
  • Networking Opportunities: Attendees can connect with like-minded professionals and organizations committed to fostering health and wellness in our communities.

Speakers include Kenny Anderson, Maximum Life Enhancement; Daniel Kasambira, United Way of Madison County; Dr. Jennifer Bail, associate professor, College of Nursing at 麻豆精品视频, and Sarita Edwards, E.WE Foundation.
