She earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Ohio State University, M.S. from Seoul National University, and B.S. from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Her areas of research center on new drug development, pharmaceutical innovations, R&D organizational boundary decisions, open innovation, new product development speed, intellectual property protection, and knowledge management strategies. Her peer reviewed work has been published in journals such as California Management Review, Drug Discovery Today, Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics, Industry and Innovation, and Science and Public Policy.
